FAQs

Are your pieces antique, vintage or new?

1

The pieces we sell are primarily vintage and antique, dating anywhere from 20 to more than 200 years old. We seek out pieces that have been well cared for and remain in good condition, while embracing the character, patina and signs of age that make vintage pieces so special.

Some pieces may have been repaired, refinished or restored during their lifetime. When we are aware of significant restoration or repairs, we will note them in the item description. We encourage you to review all photographs and descriptions carefully, as condition is part of the unique history of each piece.

We research each piece to the best of our ability. Any dates, periods, origins or attributions are based on the information and evidence available to us and should be considered our best estimate unless otherwise stated.

Occasionally, you may find something new in the Fox Heritage collection, too. If we love it and believe it's worth gathering around, it belongs here.

Are all sales final?

2

Because many Fox Heritage pieces are vintage, antique and one-of-a-kind, all sales are considered final. We take great care to photograph and describe each piece as accurately as possible, including any notable wear, imperfections or condition issues we are aware of. Please review all photographs, measurements and descriptions carefully before purchasing.

That said, we want you to love what you bring home. If you believe an item has been significantly misrepresented or there is an issue with your order, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at [your Fox Heritage email]. We will review concerns on a case-by-case basis and always do our best to make things right.

Please note that the natural variations, patina, wear and imperfections associated with age are part of the character of vintage and antique pieces and are not considered defects.

What happens if my item arrives damaged?

3

We take great care in packing our pieces for their journey to you, but occasionally damage can occur in transit. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery so we can help.

Please email heritage@laurafoxinteriordesign.com with your order number and photographs of the damaged item, the shipping box, packing materials and shipping label. Please keep all original packaging until the claim has been resolved, as the shipping carrier may require it for inspection or documentation.

Once we receive the information, we’ll review the damage and work with you toward the appropriate resolution.

Because many Fox Heritage pieces are one-of-a-kind, replacement may not be possible. Depending on the circumstances, resolution may include repair, a refund, or another appropriate solution.

Can I purchase something online and pick it up at an upcoming market?

4

Absolutely! Select Local Pickup at checkout and your purchase can be picked up at our office in Kensington, Maryland, or at one of our upcoming markets.

If you’d like us to bring your purchase to a specific market, please contact us after placing your order so we can make sure it’s packed and ready for you.

I’d probably use “in person” in the question rather than “at an upcoming market,” since that lets one FAQ cover both Kensington and your events.

Do you offer gift wrapping?

5

Of course! We believe a beautiful gift should feel special before it’s even opened. Gift wrapping is available for most items, and we’re always happy to include a handwritten note with your purchase.

Simply select the gift wrap option at checkout and include your message. Please note that some oversized or unusually shaped vintage pieces may not be eligible for gift wrapping.

Never show up empty-handed. We’ve got you covered.
